To install just replace the progression.xml file (7 Days To Die\Data\Config\progression.xml). It's a basic xml edit so feel free to change the balancing to your liking.

A labor of love of two hardcore fans, Darkness Falls is easily one of the most popular overhaul mods for 7D2D. The amount of skill points gained also increases with the player's level (roughly around 20 points at level 140 for example) to make up for the very high cost of perks at higher levels. Browsing this many mods to find the ones you like can be a little daunting, so we’ve gathered 11 of our favorites in a handy list. There are only moderate stat increases after leveling beyond the defaults, but it's better than gaining nothing at all. Some skills would reset, but not all.s to what version I recommend. Its up to you and your players what they prefer. You may wish to consider using one of my other crafting modlets that unlocks tier 6 crafting, which works with this mod. The books you do find will give skill points to one or multiple skills when read. The skill tree descriptions have been edited to reflect the changes. The latest update locked pretty much everything behind talents rather than needing books. Both versions are very different and its up to you as to what one is best for your desired experience. Chemistry station requires a skill I think, but the armoury/desk/workbench etc should be a good start. The Valmod Pack comes in two different flavors.
